Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) has announced the notification of opening at the post of Apprentice Development Officer (ADO). LIC ADO is a marketing job that involves recruitment of agents and providing business to a branch office. The candidates who are interested to apply for LIC ADO can apply through their online portal.

An LIC ADO Recruitment Notification has been released, according to which the Life Insurance Corporation of India is inviting applications for Apprentice Development Officer (ADO) Posts in the various Divisional Offices under Western Zonal Offices, Maharashtra. However, the notification have not released in the official website yet. Aspirants and job seekers who intend to work in the insurance sector and the already serving LIC Agents and LIC Employees can also apply for LIC ADO post. Eligibility Criteria for LIC – ADO

The eligibility criteria of LIC ADO are the set of rules in terms of age, academic qualifications and nationality which the candidates must fulfill inorder to be eligible for the exam. 

  1. Age Limit
  • Minimum Age Limit: 21 years
  • Maximum Age Limit: 30 years

Age Relaxation

  • SC/ ST: 5 years
  • OBC: 3 years
  • Physically Handicapped: 10 years
  • Physically Handicapped + OBC: 13 years
  • Physically Handicapped + SC/ST: 15 years
  1. Educational Qualification

Candidates must be a graduate in any discipline from a recognized University/ Institution. The applicant from a foreign University approved for the purpose or the fellowship of Insurance Institute of India, Mumbai can also apply. Candidates should have atleast 2 years of experience in any Life Insurance sector of Insurance Company.

LIC – ADO Syllabus and Exam Pattern

LIC – ADO Recruitment is conducted in 3 phases: Paper – 1, Paper – 2 and Interview round.

Paper – 1 is an Objective Based Online Mode Exam, which is in form of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs). Paper – 1 is divided into 3 sections, which contains 100 questions of 70 marks and to be completed in duration of 60 minutes.

Paper – 2 is also an Objective Based Online Mode Exam, which is in form of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs). This paper also has three sections, consisting of 150 questions of 150 marks to be completed in duration of 120 minutes.

After completing and qualifying these two phases, the last is of Interview.

LIC – ADO Paper – 1/ Preliminary Exam

Paper – 1 is an Objective Based Online Mode Exam. The questions in this paper are in form of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).

Paper – 1 is divided into 3 sections: General Reasoning, Numerical Aptitude and English. Among which sections of General Reasoning and Numerical Aptitude contains 35 questions for 35 marks each, whereas English section contains 30 questions for 30 marks. The time duration for each section is of 20 minutes.

LIC – ADO Paper – 2/ Mains Exam

Paper – 2 is an Objective Based Online Mode Exam. The questions in this paper are in form of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).

Paper – 2 is also divided into 3 sections: General Reasoning & Numerical Ability, General Knowledge, Current Affairs & English Language and Insurance & Financial Marketing Awareness. Each section contains 50 questions and is of 50 marks. Paper – 2 has composite time – duration of 120 minutes.

LIC – ADO Final Round/ Interview

Marks obtained in the Main Examination only will be considered for shortlisting the candidates for interview and marks obtained in Main Examination + marks obtained in Interview will be considered for final merit listing of candidates.
Compatible to the number of vacancies, LIC reserves the right to fix the eligibility standards in order to restrict the candidates to be called for interview and also fix the minimum marks to qualify in the interview. Maximum Interview marks are 37.
