KVS
The KVS (Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan) is a system of central government schools in India that are instituted under the aegis of the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD). It has a total of 1209 schools in India and 3 schools in abroad. It is one of world's largest chains of schools. The KVS (Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan), which literally translates to 'Central School Organization', oversees the functioning of the schools with its headquarters in New Delhi.
The administration of this body is based on levels. The chairman of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan is always the Minister in Charge of Human Resource Development of the Government of India; the deputy chairman is Minister of State of MHRD. The real working power lies with the Commissioner of KVS; there are additional commissioners to accompany Commissioner in the administration of KVS in different fields. The head of a KVS region is Deputy Commissioner accompanied by an Assistant Commissioner. There are individual principals of every KV administrating the schools along with a Vice-Principal, Head Master/ Mistress.
The Vidyalaya also has several committees for the holistic development of the students and well maintenance of the school compound and system. The most important one is the VMC (Vidyalaya Management Committee), which is the head of all committees.
Job Profile and Vacancies at KVS
There are a variety of job roles for different posts of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan. Some of the duties and responsibilities performed by the teachers at Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS), are described below in brief.
- To teach and educate students according to guidelines provided by the National Curriculum Framework (NSF).
- To teach and educate the student's full range of subject areas.
- Prepare Lesson plan & running extracurricular activities.
- Assigning work, correcting and marking work carried out by his/her student.

Eligibility Criteria for KVS
There are a set of eligibility criteria to apply for KVS. There are different set of eligibility criteria (age and educational qualification) for different posts. A brief detail about the eligibility criteria of KVS is as follows:

KVS Exams – Syllabus & Exam Pattern
KVS conducts exam for various posts, i.e., teacher, librarian, etc. in 2 phases: Written Exam and Interview.
Written Exam is the first phase of exam for KVS. It is an Objective Based Online Mode Exam. The exam has two parts which is further divided into sections. Part – 1 has 2 sections, General Hindi and General English of 10 marks and having 10 questions each. Part – 2 has General Knowledge, Reasoning Ability, Computer Literacy, Pedagogy and Subject Concerned. Pedagogy and Concerned Subject sections are involved and reduced according to posts. Part -2 is of 130 marks and has a composite time of 150 minutes. Only KVS – PGT Exam is of 3 Hours.
Interview is the last phase of KVS Exam for every post.
KVS – PGT & PRT Written Exam
The whole exam pattern for PGT and PRT exam is same expect the time duration. KVS – PGT Exam is of 3 Hours, whereas, KVS – PRT Exam is of 150 minutes. This exam is divided into 2 parts, i.e., Part – 1 & Part – 2 and these parts are further divided into sections. Part – 1 has 2 sections, General English and General Hindi, of 10 marks and has 10 questions each. Part – 2 has 5 sections, General Knowledge, Reasoning Ability, Computer Literacy, Pedagogy and Concerned Subject. Part – 2 is of 130 minutes and has 130 questions. Hence, the whole exam is of 150 marks carrying 150 questions.

The exam – pattern for the post of TGT (P & HE, WE, AE), PRT (Music Teacher) and Librarian is same as whole. This exam is divided into 2 parts, i.e., Part – 1 & Part – 2 and these two parts are further divided into sections. Part – 1 has 2 sections, General English and General Hindi, of 10 marks and has 10 questions each. Part – 2 has 5 sections, General Knowledge, Reasoning Ability, Computer Literacy and Concerned Subject. Part – 2 is of 130 minutes and has 130 questions. Hence, the whole exam is of 150 marks carrying 150 questions and a time duration of 150 minutes as a whole.

KVS – TGT exam is divided into 2 parts, i.e., Part – 1 & Part – 2 and these two parts are further divided into sections.
