Employees’ State Insurance (ESI) is a self – financing social security and health insurance scheme for Indian Workers. Eligibility Criteria for ESIC – UDC

There is a set of eligibility criteria which candidate has to clear to appear in ESIC – UDC exam.

  1. Age Limit
  • Minimum Age Limit: 21 years
  • Maximum Age Limit: 27 years

Age Relaxation

  • SC/ ST: 5 years
  • OBC: 3 years
  • Physically Disabled: 10 years
  • Physically Disabled + OBC: 13 years
  • Physically Disabled + SC/ ST: 15 years
  1. Educational Qualification
  • The Candidate should acquire Bachelors’ Degree from a recognized University/ Institution.
  • Working Knowledge of Computer including use of Office Suites and Databases.


ESIC – UDC Exam Pattern and Syllabus

ESIC – UDC Exam is conducted in 4 phases: Paper – 1, Paper – 2, Paper – 3 and Interview.

Paper – 1 is an Objective Based Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) Online Mode Exam. The paper is divided into 4 sections. Each section contains 25 questions of 50 marks to be completed in composite time duration of 60 minutes.

Paper – 2 is also an Objective Based Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) Online Mode Exam. This paper is divided into 4 sections. Each section contains 50 questions of 50 marks and composite time of 120 minutes.

Paper – 3 is a Computer Skill Test. This paper is conducted to check the basic computer skills of a candidate.

Final round of ESIC – UDC is Interview.

ESIC – UDC Paper – 1/ Prelims

Paper – 1 is an Objective Based Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) Online Mode Exam. The paper is divided into 4 sections: General Reasoning, General Awareness, Numerical Aptitude and English Language. Each section comprises of 25 questions of 50 marks to be completed in composite time duration of 60 minutes.

Paper – 2 is an Objective Based Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) Online Mode Exam. The paper is divided into 4 sections: General Reasoning, General Awareness, Numerical Aptitude and English Language. Paper – 2 contains 200 questions which accounts to 200 marks. Each section comprises of 50 questions of 50 marks to be completed in composite time duration of 120 minutes.
