Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board (DSSSB) is an organization set up to recruit highly skilled, competent and capable persons.This is done by conducting professional test, written tests and personal interviews. The aim is to fill up various positions in Delhi government and administration. DSSSB Recruitment is separated into three parts called as three tiers:
Tire one: It consists of General Posts and Technical/ Teaching Posts.
General posts: Lower Division Clerk, Steno-typist, Stenographer, driver, Patwari, Warden.
Technical/ Teaching posts: Data Entry Operator, Security Supervisor, Asst. Sanitary Inspector, Librarian, Livestock and Veterinary manager, ANM. Teaching posts include Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT), Nursery Teacher, PRT, Technical Assistant, Lab Technician, etc.
Tier Two: It also consists of General and Technical posts:
General posts: Consists of posts like Assistant, Head clerks and equivalent posts. For these, it is mandatory to clear both Tier one and Tier two selection procedures.
Technical posts 1: Wildlife Inspector, Junior Inspector, Junior Manager, Motor Vehicle Inspector, Section officer and equivalent positions.
Technical posts 2: District Staff Officer, Junior Law Officer, Welfare Officer (Grade 2), and Publicity Officer.
Tier Three: It also consists of General and Technical posts:
General Posts: Post of assistant collector and assistant assessor, zonal revenue officer and equivalent positions.
Technical Posts: Asst. Law officer, Asst. director, DTC, DFC and equivalent posts.
Job Profile and Vacancies for DSSSB
There are many profiles that falls under DSSSB. As you can get to know from above mentioned details, these posts are divided into three parts, known as three tiers. There are variety of work for each post and profile on each tier of DSSSB. DSSSB has released vacancies for some posts among these.
DSSSB has released a total 468 no. of vacancies for multiple posts of Assistant Engineer, Junior Engineer, Lower Divisional Clerk (LDC), Stenographer, etc., out of which 211 vacancies are for candidates of General category, 170 vacancies are for candidates of OBC category, 55 vacancies for candidates of SC category and 32 vacancies are for candidates of ST category.

Eligibility Criteria for DSSSB

DSSSB Syllabus and Exam Pattern
DSSSB conducts its recruitment in 2 phases (for all posts): Tier – 1 and Tier – 2.
Tier – 1 is an Objective Based Online Mode Exam. The questions are in form of MCQs (Multiple Choice Questions). There are 6 sections, of 200 marks carrying 200 questions and to be completed in duration of 120 minutes as a whole.
Tier – 2 is an Objective as well as Descriptive Based Online Mode Exam. There are 2 sections of this exam, a 1st section has questions in form of MCQs (Multiple Choice Questions) and a 2nd section has questions which are answered in descriptive/ written type. This phase is of 200 marks and 200 questions and to be completed in duration of 120 minutes as a whole.
DSSSB Tier – 1
Tier – 1 is an Objective Based Online Mode Exam. The questions are in form of MCQs (Multiple Choice Questions). There are 6 sections, General Awareness, General Intelligence & Reasoning Ability, Arithmetic & Numerical Ability, Test of Hindi Language & Comprehension, Test of English Language & Comprehension, and Subject/ Qualification Related Paper, of 200 marks carrying 200 questions and to be completed in duration of 120 minutes as a whole.

DSSSB Tier – 2
Tier – 2 is an Objective as well as Descriptive Based Online Mode Exam. There are 2 sections of this exam, 1st section has 150 questions in form of MCQs (Multiple Choice Questions) and a 2nd section has 50 questions which are answered in descriptive/ written type. This phase is of 200 marks and 200 questions and to be completed in duration of 120 minutes as a whole.
